Ted

We would love to find a forever home for our Ted
Ted is a 4-year-old Male small/medium size cross breed, due to his behaviour he’s been at the rescue for a while as he has been under training.
Ted is not for the faint hearted! He’s a lovely boy at heart and would bond strongly with the person that takes him home, for this reason Ted can only be rehomed to someone who lives on their own and is local to us so they can come up and establish that bond before taking him home. He loves to cuddle up on the sofa and would make an amazing housemate.
Ted doesn’t like being groomed around his back end; we think this may be due to a tail injury in the past, but we have been working on getting him be groomed everywhere else, initially muzzled but now without one.
Ted will walk on the lead nicely, but he can be stubborn and lazy if he doesn’t want to go for a walk. Ted LOVES a teddy and used to be a bit guardy over them but we can how take toys from him.
As said before he does love a cuddle on the sofa, but you can’t let him do this initially until firm ground rules are set in place and he knows you are in charge, it would be easy for him to take charge of the relationship, he’s clever like that.
In summary Ted needs a home with someone who lives on their own, no children around as he won’t put up with them, no other pets. He is ok with other dogs that he knows and has met but wouldn’t want to live with them.
For someone that can put in clear ground rules and make sure they stay in charge as the boss Ted would make an awesome companion and hey…. He’s VERY CUTE!
